In the 1960s, Carl Countryman started hand-building audio gear in San Francisco for bands like the Grateful Dead. Restless and inquisitive, he built novel new piano pickups, the first active DI box, the first Earset microphone, and whole categories of miniature microphones because he wanted to explore what was possible.
Countryman is not a brand; it is our family name. We put that name and his spirit in every product we sell: a commitment to help you go wherever your sound takes you.
